My approach to therapy is focused on providing the tools and coping skills needed to manage struggles, build self awareness and enhance insight into the root cause of your internal discomfort. Building insight may involve discussing core beliefs that developed during childhood or within relational experiences and exploring how these impact your current thought patterns and relationships. I specialize in treating women who are struggling to navigate the pregnancy or postpartum period, or who are experiencing infertility. I often work with individuals to enhance assertiveness, empowerment, and confidence.
The focus of my treatment is to validate your emotional experience while helping you to overcome the thoughts and behaviors that serve as obstacles to finding peace and happiness. I use relational, CBT, and DBT and incorporate some humor, while encouraging clients to focus on nonjudgment and non reactivity to thoughts and feelings, and self acceptance
Finding the right fit in a counselor is important in order to benefit from the therapeutic process. If I am not accepting new clients or if I am not the best fit, I will be able to set you up with an available counselor in my group practice. Several of our therapists are accepting new clients, and are in network with Aetna, Cigna, United and Highmark

supervision for lpc
I'm offering bi weekly Supervision for Masters level therapists hoping to obtain their LPC or LCSW on Mondays at 7pm. I utilize DBT informed techniques and CBT techniques with my clients and in my Supervision. The group will meet on Monday evenings. infant moms support group
Starting December 2019, We will be offering an 8 week group co led by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist which will focus on strategies for coping with the emotional, physical, occupational, and relational challenges that arise postpartum. Through education on postpartum hormonal changes and discussion of societal pressures, we hope to validate and normalize your emotional experience. This group will open when we have 5 members and close when we have 8 members
