Are you an overthinker or have a loud inner critic that overwhelms you? Do you know all the things you are supposed to do to feel better but can't seem to make them work? Through the connection we build, I will give you support and strength to navigate these challenges by helping you slow down, build trust in yourself, and get into your full body experience. I particularly work well with people experiencing anxiety, women experiencing life transitions, and young graduates and professionals who are facing new challenges.
I go beyond traditional talk therapy by working with the whole person: thoughts, emotions, body sensations, imagination, and behaviors. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner which means we will learn together how your nervous system has learned to react to perceived threats and find new ways to release you from patterns that no longer serve you.
My down to earth, unassuming, open, and warm presence will provide a safe place for you to be with hard emotions, integrating both mind and body. Reaching out for therapy is a big step and finding the right fit is important. Please visit my website and fill out a Client Interest Form if you feel like I might be the right therapist for you.

In addition to talking, we will learn to tune into your body's wisdom at a pace that is comfortable for you. We do this through tracking sensations and learning about your autonomic nervous system. We might explore gentle movement or find ways to find a sense of calm and safety. Healing happens through an integrated, whole body experience, not just intellectually.
