Announcement icon During the COVID-19 pandemic, I will be providing video therapy sessions using Zoom and Simple Practice's paid HIPAA compliant platforms.
I believe that how we relate to others is deeply connected to our self-view. I work with clients to recognize and challenge their own inner critics and to have more compassion for self and others. I assist individuals and couples with feeling more secure, present and fulfilled in relationships with romantic partners, co-workers, family and friends. This often starts with recognizing one's own needs and boundaries and practicing self-care. In my 11 years practicing psychotherapy, I have seen how improvement in self-view and increased social and emotional engagement can foster psychological and physical health and well-being.
I have extensive training and experience assisting clients with relationship and sexual concerns, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma from abuse or neglect. Having lived abroad (Thailand, India), I am skilled at building relationships across cultures and attuned to cultural influences in my client's lives. I am LGBTQ+- affirming and anti-racist.
For relationship/couples therapy, I practice Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with the goal of creating a more secure, intimate and resilient relationship bond. For individuals and couples, Let's discuss your sense of self, experiences in close relationships and any intimacy- related concerns, and work to get you moving towards your personal goals.
