My goal is to provide clients caring, concrete, and practical answers using proven-effective treatment options. I feel strongly that clients should be a collaborator in their treatment and see improvements quickly. Parents with children who have behavioral problems are often exhausted and at the end of their rope. Parent-Child Interaction Therapy provides quick solutions and reduces parental stress. Couples often seek therapy when communication is breaking down. Both PCIT and Gottman Method Therapy inform my work with couples and families.
My method of child and family treatment is PCIT a live-coaching model where parents are taught skills and coached while they play with their children. Dr. Gottman informs my treatment with couples and I focus on solutions and teaching concrete skills for coping with adults and teens.
I belong to a group of licensed professionals who focus on a wide variety of issues. We were the first group providing certified PCIT in Northern Colorado and now in the Boulder area.
