I believe healing happens in and through relationship, which is increasingly backed by current neuroscience. As a result, I place the utmost importance on making sure the client feels safe, seen, heard, and known within the counseling space. Raised by two medical professionals, I am infinitely curious about the mind- body connection. I believe the two cannot be fully separated, as healing is a holistic process that involves the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of personhood.
This belief leads me to pull from numerous methodologies including family systems, attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practices, and trauma- informed therapy. I have experience in working with anxiety, depression, sexual trauma, navigating familial relationships, and helping people move through transitions.
At Self Space we believe healing happens in and through relationship, which is increasingly backed by current neuroscience. As a result, I place the utmost importance on making sure the client feels safe, seen, heard, and known within the counseling space.
