About
For some people, therapy is a scary word. There’s been a lot of stigma around it for a long time. But for others it is relief. It takes courage to begin therapy, whether it’s your first time or you’re returning after several years. Life transitions and events can sometimes lead to overwhelming feelings of stress and you need someone to help you navigate through these difficult times. I want my clients to find relief from what they are experiencing and give them an outlet to express themselves. Therapy is self-care, and I want clients to view it as such instead of something they “have to do”.
I have over 10 years of experience working with clients who are struggling with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, stress management, life transitions, and relationship struggles. My style combines compassionate listening with active and direct problem solving, as well as some humor.
I find this combination helps clients feel more at ease when discussing difficult topics and helps to build the therapeutic relationship. I also understand that everyone is unique and embracing that individuality is important in therapy. I also offer Clinical Supervision to those who want their LPC licensure hours.
