Reaching out can be so hard, but it is such an important first step! We are not made to do the hard things alone. More and more research has shown that we are deeply wired for connection and support. The most fundamental human need we have is for relationships. The most overlooked relationship is the one you have with yourself. Counseling is about moving towards healing and growth as we learn to trust ourselves. Your unconscious mind determines how you relate to yourself & to others. Science has shown us how adaptive our bodies and brains are as they change to manage the stress or trauma of our lived experiences.
You don't have to continue being consumed with negative feelings. I know both personally & professionally the power of addiction & the distressing effects that it has on generations of families. With more than 15 years in the field & 18+ years as a person in recovery, I understand the struggles & have the experience, expertise, & empathy to help you.
My role is to provide guidance, support, accountability, and teach evidence-based tools to examine your relationship with self/others and achieve your goals. I'm a compassionate listener who engages with direct, explorative questions and values genuine connections with my clients.
