Children and youth sometimes have much more difficulty expressing their feelings in an appropriate way in than adults. It is difficult to watch your child suffer with anxiety, depression, stress, or any variety of situations that impact daily living. Children and youth may not have learned how to express emotions due to varying reasons. The goal is to improve coping skills, confidence, and the ability for all children and adolescents to navigate big emotions and difficult emotions in a healthy manner.
I am an LCSW with 15 years of experience in the child and youth mental health field. My entire career has been devoted to pre-school and school-based programs. I utilize therapy with a variety of models including person-centered, CBT, and play therapy, and goal-focused. I also provide LCSW supervision for those pursuing their licensure.
