When considering what my ideal client looks like, I find I can be the most helpful to someone who is curious about themselves and what makes them tick. They see a future for themself but are having trouble figuring out how to get there. They may come with the odds stacked against them due to being a part of a marginalized community or plagued with depression, anxiety, trauma, and/or substance abuse. Maybe they feel stuck, confused, or uncertain. That's where I come in.
The biggest part of my practice is focused on empathy, unconditional positive regard, emphasizing strengths, and encouraging self-empowerment. Authenticity is very important to me. And I feel our relationship is the most important tool in the therapy room, so I aim to build that as best I can. I want to be in the trenches with you.
Seeking counseling services is daunting, I know. You are so brave for trying. It takes so much strength to not only recognize you need support, but also seek it out. I want to celebrate you and work with you to sort through all the things that may be getting in the way of you living the life you want. You don't have to do this alone anymore.
