Sara Tawil
Counselor, MA, LMHC, NCC
It is common for us to experience life challenges and to seek assistance navigating these transitions. My goal as a therapist is to understand your worldview, empower and support you. However, in working together, it is important that you appreciate that we are in a collaborative relationship and that you are the expert. Our collaborative work of inner healing encompasses moving from a place of immense level of anxiety to acting and interacting from a place of true self. I value our work together to be straightforward, empathetic, and meaningful.
My specialties include history of trauma and abuse, grief, purposelessness, relationship issues and identify/cultural issues. I use an eclectic approach that includes psychodynamic, family systems and differentiation modalities to help you work through current and past relationship issues and to identify patterns that are no longer serving you.
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Marriage & Family and a Licensed Mental Health Therapist for the past 14 years. I am devoted to promoting psychological and emotional wellness. My professional experience includes working with child protection, Linn county juvenile court and community mental health settings. I provide services fluently in English and Arabic.

Professional Connections
I have worked collaboratively with Sara for many years and have always found her open, yet direct approach with clients to be refreshing. Sara's experience in advocating for clients effectively is one of the many strengths she brings to the mental health field. She is able to have tough conversations while balancing an approach that encourages empowerment.

Ms. Jennifer Becker, LMHC
Counselor
Sara is one of the warmest people you'll ever meet. Part of what makes her such an effective therapist is her intuitive approach to the art of therapy. She is creative and instinctively shapes her interventions to the person she's working with. If you're seeking an intelligent, capable, and kind counselor-- you will find that in Sara.
