About
My name is Sara Spivey, and I am here to help anyone who wants to heal. I am a licensed associate counselor with a Masters Degree in Human Services specializing in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I have been given the opportunity to work with varying client populations including but have found my niche working with those who struggle from anxiety, depression, low self worth, and self compassion.
I specialize in a variety of counseling techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy and self compassion therapy. I use these tools along with an EMDR modality to assist clients in feeling better emotionally and spiritually. I am EMDR trained.
I believe it is every human’s right to receive support and compassion for their struggles. It is our acceptance of our own humanity that keeps us connected to who we truly are and out of a space of judgment towards ourselves and others. This will be embodied in your work with me and in the therapeutic relationship we form through our practice.
