Sara Rosen
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LMSW, MEd
Hello! I am a queer-affirming and kink-aware therapist, practicing at the Long Island Institute of Sex Therapy. I have extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, couples with desire discrepancies, and clients with alternative relationship dynamics. In addition to supporting individuals and couples with sexual dysfunctions, I am also trained in treating simultaneous difficulties with substance abuse. I have facilitated well-respected and popular counseling groups for men experiencing erectile dysfunction and relationship discord while navigating addiction and recovery.
I practice an eclectic therapeutic style, utilizing a lively combination of psychodynamic, narrative, mindfulness relaxation, and queer-affirming therapies. My skills and experience span from addiction, depression, disability justice, sexual dysfunctions, gender and sexual orientation issues, and anxiety.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting and scary, especially when it comes to talking about sexuality. I am here to offer a comfortable and safe environment for you to grow, and create a happy and fulfilled sex life!
