My passion as a therapist is helping couples and families establish a safe, secure connection. This often involves healing a past injury. I have extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, an empirically validated therapy based in attachment theory. I also work with individuals to help recover from depression and establish ways to manage anxiety. Parenting, including co-parenting for divorced couples is another passion of mine.
In addition to my training as a therapist, I have specialized training in family systems. When I am working with an individual, especially an adolescent, I view the whole system in which they exist as an important context to our work together. I also believe that nutrition, exercise and sleep are key elements to good mental health and healthy relationships.
