About
Coming to therapy can be a challenging experience, no matter your particular struggle. It’s vital that the therapist you choose be someone that you a connection with and trust. I think of therapy as a collaborative process: I’m the guide who takes you on the journey of recognizing, understanding, and overcoming challenges that impact your life. I’m trained in both a psychodynamic approach, where we focus on how you interact with the world, and I am intensively train in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
In treatment, we’ll address problematic relationship patterns – past and present – as well as provide you with skills to manage the immediate challenges you face. I use this integrative approach to create a safe environment where, together, we can wade through uncertain waters at a pace that is right for you.
While I treat a wide range of issues, I specialize in working with adults suffering with anxiety, depression, role transitions, and reclaiming their lives after traumatic experiences – traumas both recent, and long ago. Fundamentally, I believe that once real insight is gained, we can change how we react to stressors and the world as a whole.
