I feel its imperative to understand to be successful in Mental Health Therapy. Its important to respect diversity, cultural difference/beliefs, ethics, race, religious backgrounds, gender identity. Therapy should meet the clients where they are in life. Allowing them process, understand feelings, thoughts and emotions. My therapeutic sessions with client is to simply understand superhumans do not exist. Mistakes and painful life events can happen. My goal is to assist clients realize what hey want, issues they face, develop plan to meet their needs, set realistic goals.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy(CBT) Exposure Therapy, Trauma Informed PTSD(Adults/Children's, LGBTQ counseling, Marriage/Couples Counseling. Certified Micro-Aggression/Cultural Competency. Domestic Violence, Depression, and Anxiety, Grief Counseling. HIV/AIDS Counseling.
I believe the term Mental Health should not be stigmatized. Waking up happy everyday is Mental Health. Throughout the day traumatic stressful events can take place our lives. Triggering Mental Health Disorders related to trauma informed PTSD, physical and mental abuse, gender identity/acceptance, substance use disorder. I focus on person centered planning.
