I have been working for many years as a drama therapist and psychoanalyst and have helped people live more fulfilling lives. I work with individuals and couples in Greenwich Village. I am an expert on adoption issues but also work in all areas. I work well with couples and find all of my work interesting and exciting. Sometimes I use the drama therapy in combination with psychoanalysis and at other times, I just use the techniques of psychoanalysis. It will all depend on the patient.
Psychoanalysis is a deep understanding of how our personalities have evolved and this helps shine a light on the unconscious. From this knowledge we derive a greater understanding of who we are, what we feel and what we want. When I use drama therapy, the imagination is utilized to help overcome our resistances and blocks.
I was the first drama therapist in New York City to become a psychoanalyst. This has expanded my knowledge and ability to help others.
