My goal in counseling is to come alongside my client to help them reach their own personal goals while overcoming the struggles, obstacles and burdens that are standing in their way. The focus is to lead a more peaceful and contented life. I work with all ages, however I have a lot of experience working with children, adolescents and families through a vast variety of challenges. I am passionate about healthy family dynamics and helping parents navigate their children's, sometimes complex, needs. I take a caring approach and view the client/ counselor relationship as a team.
I have worked in many different settings throughout my career. Some of these settings included a group home, hospital setting, CBHI services, an emergency crisis center and a high school. All of these experiences contribute to my ability to connect with clients of all ages and to navigate systems in an effective way when needed.
Taking the first step to engage in counseling can be intimidating, however is crucial for the healing process to begin. Although it can be some work, I firmly believe that you are worth prioritizing your own health and wellness, no matter the age or challenge.
