Being a caregiver for an aging family member or friend can be quite complicated, regardless of how good the quality of the relationship is or has been. The emotional, physical, financial, and logistical demands of caring for older adults are often overlooked and underestimated. I am here to help you through the ups and downs of this journey. By providing support for caregivers who are working through the complexity of their caregiving role, I can help you rediscover your sense of self-worth, integrity, and identity.
The impact of caring for aging family members is not always recognized, which can perpetuate grief, confusion, stigma, and loneliness for caregivers. Since 2004, I have worked with older adults and their caregivers in a variety of settings (inpatient psychiatric care, hospice, palliative care, and bereavement) and am passionate about caregiver well-being.
