Life is full of transitions and challenges; one of the biggest is parenting. Whether it’s navigating a newborn, the tempestuous toddler years, potty training, or starting school, having someone to help you and your child succeed with minimum stress and decreased behavioral concerns is my specialty. Anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and mental health affects the family as a whole and I’m sensitive to that. Parenting is hard enough. You don’t have to do it alone. Common concerns I see: Helping improve emotion regulation; processing traumatic events; navigating major life transitions (moving, parental separation/divorce, new sibling, etc.); increasing parenting skills to get the outcomes you want; teaching coping skills that fit your family; improving communication; and self-care for all members of the family.
I am trained and certified in a variety of family therapies including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT–UC Davis), PCIT for Toddlers (certification in process), and Child-Parent Psychotherapy.
