I have a core belief in the power of relationships to heal and transform. My work focuses on relationship patterns and how to identify and change habits that prevent closeness and intimacy. I also work with people to identify how their feelings affect their thoughts and behaviors and how to find peace, calm and most importantly, balance in their lives and relationships. I am interactive, supportive and real with my clients in an effort to help them work toward their own goals and take charge of their own lives. Additionally, I have extensive training and expertise as a child and adolescent specialist in a wide range of settings.
I work from an attachment perspective-where we come from in our own families often informs how we are in our current relationships as parents, partners, colleagues and friends. The therapy relationship is a great place to clarify how you operate in relationships and to explore new ways of connecting. EMDR can be helpful at moving through past trauma.
There is a lot of thought and contemplation that happens before people reach out for therapy. Phone consults with prospective therapists can help you find a good fit. Reach out via email or through my website to set up a free phone consult with me so that you can get the information you need to make an informed choice about the person right for you.
