Hello! My name is Sara Au, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. My approach to therapy is holistic and person-centered, and my areas of focus include working with youth and adults with mood-related concerns (i.e., anxiety, depression), trauma, coping with stress, relationship and life adjustment challenges. I typically work with youth, including children and adolescents, and I also see young to older adult populations with diverse backgrounds.
I have experience treating youth and adults in a variety of settings, including clinical/private, community, school, and inpatient and remote, primarily through individual counseling. I create a warm and non-judgmental environment in sessions with my clients to help them feel safe and seen with unconditional positive regard.
I have always had a passion for exploring and understanding the human mind and what drives human thoughts and behaviors. I enjoy learning about the human psyche and how to effectively equip and empower individuals enduring mental health challenges and life stressors with the tools to manage and live fulfilling lives.
