Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in helping women with trauma, PTSD, and DV. I am passionate about helping during the perinatal period, navigating motherhood, and addressing childhood trauma. I have worked in the mental health field since 2008 and have a wide range of knowledge. My approach is person-centered, fostering a warm and empathetic environment. I utilize modalities such as EMDR to help you process any discomforting thoughts or memories. I also use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to improve your ability to regulate emotions. When appropriate, I like to incorporate mindfulness and holistic methods to promote self-awareness, reduce stress, and improve coping skills.
Therapy to me, is like Kintsugi, the art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with gold, making it even more beautiful. This treats breakage/flaws as the most amazing part.
