Our bodies and minds are complex systems designed to keep us safe and healthy. But challenging life experiences can force these normally flexible systems to churn out rigid and restraining patterns—patterns that leave us stuck in feelings of sadness, shame, anxiety, and anger. Fortunately, the therapeutic relationship offers us a powerful tool to ease these patterns, allowing for healing and new feelings of freedom and empowerment.
I have experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, work dissatisfaction, and trauma-related difficulties. My practice includes folks with a range of lived experiences around race, sexuality, cultural identity, immigration status, etc.; our work is informed by a deep understanding of the systemic and cultural issues that impede growth.
My approach is integrated, drawing from neurobiology, trauma theory, and relational methods. My style is warm and direct, curious and engaged.
