I'm a certified EMDR therapist licensed in New Hampshire and Maine. EMDR is an approach to treating - not only trauma - but many other issues and negative core beliefs keeping us stuck. My areas of interest are trauma, complex trauma, sexual assault / abuse, all intersectional feminist issues, supporting the queer and trans community as a staunch ally and the slightly eccentric and off-beat. My goal is to be a cozy, welcoming place you looking forward to coming to.
I work with people ages 18+. My main modality used is EMDR. But, I'm a BIG believer that the most powerful healing tool we have is the safety & connection of the therapeutic relationship, providing corrective experiences in the therapy office. This heals. I've supported people in various capacities for 15 + years, including several years as a birth doula.
My personality is down-to-earth, yet professional. I'm not interested in being a cookie cutter, blank slate type therapist. When I'm not working I'm practicing Ashtanga Yoga, knitting, learning to silversmith, hanging with my 4 lb. rescued chihuahua, 3 black cats and watching spooky things.
