It is no secret that life brings changes - some are planned and welcomed and some are not. There are many types of changes that can have varying degrees of impact, even surprising ourselves sometimes when we are not handling a life change as well as we thought we might. The bottom line is: change can be hard and transitions are some of the most difficult challenges we encounter in life. It is understandable why there are times we just need extra help and not only is it okay, it is necessary for our growth.
Being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 30 years, I have had the privilege of helping countless individuals and families through life changes in various capacities over the years. I offer a person-centered and compassion focused approach in my practice of serving others wherever they may be in life. I honor people in their own private journey to joy.
Although managing life transitions can be stressful, causing questions, self-doubt and even hopelessness, transitions can also bring opportunities for learning and personal growth, a refocus of needs and goals and the chance to be creative in new life experiences. If struggling, asking for help is a huge step in your own personal journey to joy.
