I look forward to working with families, couples, and individuals with the challenges in their lives, and working with couples for premarital therapy. I feel that working with premarital couples can help them understand what each one expects from the marriage. I would also like to work with families that have a member that is newly blind/disabled or is already blind/disabled. Going from not having a disability to having a disability can be devastating for the individual and their family, and sometimes this can cause members to be resentful of that family member.
My approach to therapy revolves around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered therapy. I feel that using CBT and person-centered therapy can help couples and families change behaviors that will help them identify their values, goals, and aspirations together.
I have worked with teens, adults, families, and couples. I believe that everyone, no matter their age, can use some professional guidance in times of emotional hardship. I look forward to being the therapist to guide you through your life challenges.
