Many of our struggles make more sense when we understand the relationships and life experiences that shaped them. I’m passionate about helping people explore the deeper social and relational roots of their feelings and patterns so they can move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. I focus on treating those managing matters of self-esteem, identity, difficult transitions, anxious and depressive symptoms, and relationship issues. I typically work with teens and adults, and also see children (ages 13+). College students and young adults are often a population I work with.
In therapy, we’ll work together to identify and name emotions that may have been overlooked or difficult to acknowledge. When we truly understand what we’re feeling, it can free us from coping strategies that no longer serve us and open the door to new ways of responding to life’s challenges.
My goal is to create a safe place to say anything, explore any thought, imagine the realization of any hope. Oftentimes taking your lead on sessions, I tend to use questions that explore your own words to assist you in reflection. In all times I remain in your corner, whatever form that takes. Comedic relief is also welcome in our therapy space!
