Life is challenging in our ever evolving world. I believe you can improve your mental health by tackling these challenges directly. Life transitions (grief, trauma, medical concerns, aging, retirement, divorce, parenthood, emerging adulthood, and employment) are highly stressful. You don't need to navigate these alone. Many clients find my approach results in significant change in 3-4 months. I can help you find balance and meaning by examining your choices and values. Clients often tell me, “I’ve never thought about it that way before." I named my practice “Refreshing Perspectives” because that’s what you’ll find with me.
A strong connection in therapy is very important, so I provide in-person therapy and Telehealth, from age 14 through end of life. I guide clients through the challenges of depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, grief and relationship issues. I have expertise in helping veterans, first responders, corrections officers, medical personnel and their families.
I seek to offer a warm, nonjudgmental environment where all people feel welcomed. Therapy is meant to be work and purpose driven, therefore, my approach is based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and guided by your goals. I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy which takes a direct approach to overcoming the effects of trauma.
