Ruth is a single woman who has struggled to trust men. Throughout her life, she experienced many failed relationships, often using men for her own satisfaction and mistreating them. Eventually, she fell in love, but her boyfriend mistreated her, belittling her, cheating on her multiple times, and being verbally abusive. Despite this, she kept trying to maintain the relationship, believing his apologies each time he promised to change.
