I have been treating individuals and couples for over 40 years. Specialties include anxiety and depression, and women's and relationship issues, stress management and chronic disease. My treatment tends to focus on the here and now concerns of my clients, and I use a variety of evidence-based approaches to achieve therapeutic goals.

I view treatment as a collaborative process between myself and clients, setting goals and defining an approach that values strengths and seeks to expand client's abilities to meet the challenges of their lives. I offer Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness and women at mid-life and beyond groups.

I have completed teacher training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness (MB-EAT)and offer group programs in my practice. I also use these modalities with individuals, in 1:1 sessions or integrated into work on other therapeutic goals.

Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness

MB-EAT isan 8 -10session evidence-based group program designed to help people manage issues of weight control and binge eating. Rather than a diet prescription, MB-EAT helps you to change your relationship to food and cultivate your ability to make wise choices and identify and change situations that lead to destructive eating behaviors. A personal interview is required to attend this program. Call for information on free orientation prior to each series.

Mid Life and Beyond Women's Group

A 6 session online group begins Wednesday, March 9, 2022. The group meets from 6:30-8:00 PM. Based in mindfulness-based stress reduction practices, the group will use structured exercises and group discussion to address the transitions in women's life - biologic, emotional, and social/familial - that begin in midlife and create opportunities for growth as well as challenges.
