Is your heart feeling heavy? Have you lost a loved one? Are you mourning the end of a relationship? Do you feel your dreams are out of reach? If so, you might be experiencing grief. In times of grief, we often undergo a variety of reactions. Some common reactions include feeling out of control, experiencing yearning or longing, or having intense emotional pain. And while grief is not experienced the same in everyone - after all, no two losses are the same - grief can have an emotional (felt as disbelief, sadness, or anger), physical (experienced through crying and changes in appetite or sleep), and even mental (confusion) impact.

But remember, grief is a normal response to loss and can present itself just about anywhere. Most of us think about loss as the death of a loved one, however, loss can come in many forms, such as the end of a friendship, the culmination of a romantic relationship, or even the loss of a job or a dream. While this is true, you don’t have to grieve alone.

Because there is no “one size fits all” approach, I welcome the opportunity to walk beside you as we explore the significance of this loss in your life or attempt to find meaning through a Humanistic Lens. I do this by providing a safe and supportive space so that together we can process your loss and explore ways to work through the pain of grief.
