My therapeutic approach is Existential Phenomenological, heavily emphasizing Jungian psychology. I was introduced to Existential Phenomenology while attending the University of Dallas, where I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology. I obtained my master's in psychology at the University of West Georgia. Then, after several years, I returned to school to obtain a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Additional studies include play therapy, art therapy, SandPlay, family studies, psychophysiology, and neuropsychology. My eclectic tools range from expressive art therapies to cognitive behavioral techniques.

Hello! My name is Antoinette Martinez. I founded Nourish Play Therapy LLC in 2015 to give children, teens, and their families a safe place to move towards social and emotional health and wellness. I combine play therapy with art, mindfulness, EMDR Therapy, and SandPlay to help children understand their thoughts, feelings, impulses, and needs. I also help kiddos discover their strengths and grow in self-control and responsibility. I have experience in treating life changes, trauma, abuse, neglect, self-injurious behaviors, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adhd, autism spectrum, developmental delays, school adjustment, divorce and separation, and other behavioral concerns.

Topical issues may include low self-esteem , ADHD, transitioning from athletic identity, peer relationships, anger management, self-mutilation, eating disorders, and self-empowerment. A fundamental element in my approach is establishing the therapeutic relationship through rapport and building trust between the client and the therapist.
