Hello! My name is Alex. I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of individuals and families throughout my career as an Infant Mental Health Specialist. I particularly enjoy working with pregnant and postpartum moms, parents struggling with depression, anxiety, or OCD related symptoms, children and toddlers, and families affected by chronic illnesses. I believe attachment and relationships are the basis for nearly everything in our lives and strive to help those I work with build meaningful relationships and repair ruptured ones.

It takes a lot of courage to decide to seek help with something that is bothering you or that is a struggle within your life. I find it to be an honor to work alongside my clients in their own journey of healing. Therapy is different for every single person, and an element I have found important, is to operate as a team together with trust and rapport. As a therapist, I am client centered with a focus on building a safe and trusting relationship with my clients, aiding in the ability to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences. I provide alternative views, and often times will encourage continued work outside of session.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adolescents, teens, and adults of all ages. I specialize in helping people with depression and anxiety, and have worked with individuals on the autism spectrum, those suffering from trauma and PTSD, and individuals struggling with codependency issues and substance abuse.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker trained in play therapy, trauma-focused CBT and EMDR, I have years of experience supporting my clients as they build self-esteem, develop resiliency, learn to regulate their emotions more effectively, and creatively solve their unique problems. As one of few Registered Play Therapists in the region, I also specialize in working with youth. As a parent, seeing your child experience stress, trauma, or conflict can be overwhelming and exhausting. I’m here to help you and your child develop communication skills, work through problems more efficiently, and express emotions in healthy ways.

I am a trauma and attachment trained therapist. My focus is families dealing with early childhood attachment and trauma due to foster care, international adoptions, or other significant traumatic childhood experiences. I also see adults that have suffered trauma and attachment during childhood.

Domenica works to create a collaborative, strengths-based space for her clients. She practices from a trauma informed lens and strives to empower every client to write the narrative of their healing journey.

All share my passion for working with others in their quest for resolution of feelings and issues that interfere with personal growth and productive lifestyles.
