I love diversity and working with people from all walks of life! I am passionate about working with children, adolescents and families. I find it incredibly rewarding working with parents to communicate and build stronger relationships with their kids as well as work with adolescents to navigate their relationships with their families. I also enjoy working with adolescents and young adults who are experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, relationships issues and breakups, and interpersonal conflicts with parents. Working with couples, I seek to improve communication, close bonds and all types of intimacy.

I passionately and compassionately care for the emotional well-being and behavioral health of my individual, couple, family and group clients for over 20 years. I draw upon unique combinations of clinical principals and innovative methods to best support all people within our vastly diverse community. I draw upon my deep understanding of culture, age, gender, race, class, family structure, and the type of or the lack of a support system can have on most all situations. I always provide a totally non-judgmental, safe, and confidential space to help my clients deal with their problems, issues or crisis.

As your therapist, I understand that seeking help can be a difficult and vulnerable process. It takes courage to take the first step and I commend you for that. Hi! My name is Briena Wyckstandt and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 6 years of experience. I offer many therapy approaches with specific training in EMDR, DBT, and TF-CBT. I have experience working with all age ranges but most specifically teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Welcome! I provide in person and telehealth therapy services to children, adolescents, young adults, and families that experience deep pain. I have experience working with a number of issues including: anxiety, depression, anger management, stress, life transitions, trauma, family conflict, self-esteem, identity, and more. I help my clients grow to be able to live a healthy life and be the best version of themselves! Although I work with all racial and ethnic backgrounds, I am particularly passionate about educating and removing the stigma of mental health and therapy in communities of color.

Well, I am a neuro-diversity affirming therapist and I know that the one-size-fits-all approach to mental health just does not work- this is why I offer a variety of personalized therapeutic services. I have a particular affinity working with neurodivergents. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults who are struggling with acceptance, social anxiety, developing friendships, motivation, executive functioning, boundaries, and the list goes on.

Dr. Heidi Ramirez is currently a post-doctoral psychologist. She graduated with a doctorate of psychology (Psy.D.) in clinical forensic psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles Campus. Her clinical experience consists of working with underserved populations, specifically with incarcerated adolescents and adult males. She began her training with children and adolescents who were assigned to a trauma-informed charter school in Los Angeles, CA and completed her pre-doctoral internship at a forensic psychological private practice in Tempe, AZ.

My philosophy of care is grounded in the notion that every person has a gift within themselves. People do not need to be fixed; they need support to be able to return to their core self. I am here to support you whether you are going through a transition, dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges.
