I strive to create a space where people feel comfortable expressing themselves honestly and it’s possible to better understand, navigate, and heal from challenging experiences over time. It's important to me to acknowledge the impact of socioeconomic and historical conditions on people’s lives. I am particularly committed to supporting people of color and others from marginalized communities to overcome trauma and hardships, and to experience more joy, love, and fulfillment in their lives.
I draw on various strategies (EMDR, relational, CBT, psychoanalytic, narrative) and tailor my approach to the needs and goals of my clients--what is effective and helpful. I strive to center my practice within anti-oppressive, harm reduction, and restorative justice frameworks to get at the roots of problems and resolve or mitigate them in sustainable ways.
