I believe in the value of realtionships in therapy and the power that can bring in both our relationships with ourselves and others, to aid in healing trauma and our early life relational wounds. I also believe in the work of learning to be more connected to ourselves, our own bodies, sensations, emotions and needs in order to have and create these relationships in our lives. I work well with clients who are motivated to learn, grow and embrace the change process. I am comfortable working with clients from all walks of life and backgrounds. I prefer working with individual clients and adults at this time.
I specialize in EMDR and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy using Natural Lifemanship methods. I also use a combination of other approaches, including mindfulness, ACT, IFS, relationship based attachement work, and body focused somatic methods. Sessions are generally a combination of approaches that work best for each client. Flexibility is key!
Humans are relational beings. We are meant to go through life in connected relationships with ourselves and others. My only job is to "get out of the way" and let the healing power of connection happen as you get there!
