I became a therapist because I believe that change is always possible, and that humans have an inherent ability to heal and transform when they feel safe, heard, and connected. I understand that sometimes patterns of thinking, difficult emotions, or past circumstances feel like they pull us away from living life fully. In session, I will work with you to identify your strengths, increase self-compassion, create safety in your body, and expand your capacity to respond in the face of life’s difficult moments. I'm also a big believer in the power of humor, and encourage you to bring your full selves into our work together.
I specialize in working with folks who have experienced complex trauma - familial, sexual, or religious trauma. It's also an honor to partner with clients as they heal their relationship to their body, food, and exercise. Many of my clients are working through identity related concerns, low self esteem, religious deconstruction, or suicidal ideation.
While I often work in the present moment through using mindfulness and coping skills to manage immediate needs, I understand the impact our histories have on our sense of self and current challenges. I take a holistic perspective to treatment, and provide space to challenge societal messages and experiences related to sexism, racism, and oppression.

Trauma Skills Group
Trauma can have a lasting impact on our sense of self, and leave us feeling stuck in the past, disconnected from who we want to be. We will focus on developing techniques for emotion and nervous system regulation - empowering you to stay in the present and move towards the life you want. This group will help you to manage painful emotions, uncover how your past experiences are impacting you presently, and develop self trust. Through psycho-education, skills building, and supportive processing, you will leave this group with a greater capacity for self-soothing and creating safety in your body.
