My ideal client is a child or teen (ages 4–18) who has experienced something overwhelming — trauma, loss, family disruption, or a frightening event — and whose behavior, emotions, or daily functioning have been affected ever since. Many of the children I work with are neurodivergent and thrive in a space that honors their unique way of thinking and feeling. I also work with parents who want to understand what their child is carrying and learn how to support them at home. If your child has been struggling and you're not sure why — or you know why but don't know what to do next — this is a safe place to start.
I specialize in child trauma therapy using play-based, developmentally informed approaches that meet children where they are. For younger children, play is their native language — so we use art, storytelling, movement, and creative activities to process experiences they don't yet have words for. For older children and teens, I draw on CBT, DBT, mindfulness.
I help children and teens who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, and life transitions. Sessions are child-led and developmentally appropriate — I never push a child to talk about something before they're ready.
