My name is Sam Brannen, PhD LCSW and I am a licensed clinical social worker. My approach to therapy is cognitive behavioral, transactional, and hypnotherapy as required by specific case, information and clientele. My focus of practice is on providing individual treatment to individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD, gender, identity, issues, depression, anxiety, and general wellness issues.
I believe goalsetting is a joint venture between the client and provider. Consequently, I share this process with the individual clientele and seek their approval prior to initiation of any treatment process.
In my first session, I like to review the reason for referral, layout, ground rules, establish a rapport, and set goals and limitations of the treatment process for which the individual has been referred to me.
