I have 37 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families here in Eastern Iowa. I very much enjoy working with families that include children of about 10 and up, as well as with young adults and adults of all ages. I enjoy a diverse group of clients aged about 10 and up, with diverse identities, cultures and backgrounds. Our team here includes therapists with a variety of skills as well as medication managers with whom we are able to coordinate easily. Comfort with: trauma, mood disorders, family and couples communication and structure, use of mindfulness and narrative to support empowerment.
My job is to listen to you and figure out how what you are experiencing might make sense. Once I get a feeling for how you see things, I begin to become helpful. Your feelings are valid, and you made the decisions you made with the best information available to you at the time. We work through this material together with compassion and care.
