I have experience working with pre-teens and teens who have or may be struggling with ADHD, ASD, LGBTQ+ issues, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I am also able to help clients experiencing life changes, emotional regulation concerns, impulsivity, and anger issues. I strive to build strong relationships with my clients and meet them where they are. Every child is unique and brings their skills to the table. It is important to help children and teens understand and identify their emotions while learning how they can impact others.
I prefer to use a combination of modalities that best suit the individual and what they would like to accomplish in their time with me. I draw most from CBT, Family Systems, and strength-based approaches while sprinkling in grounding and mindfulness techniques.
For parents, I can work with you to understand your child's diagnosis and how it impacts your child, you, and the family system as a whole. Regarding LGBTQ+ issues, I am happy to discuss concerns you may have in navigating and supporting your child in what could be a difficult and confusing time.
