I believe that my approach and personality create a safe environment for my clients to create lasting change. I been practicing counseling since 2016, I have over 7 years experience in substance abuse, and I have worked with clients of all ages. I also specialize in trauma and working with teens. Other areas of experience include anxiety, self-esteem, and grief, to name a few. I am currently taking new clients and providing in home therapy via video therapy, as well as in person sessions. My approach integrates CBT with person centered therapy as well as other modalities based on your individual needs, such as Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused tools, and Mindfulness. I think my judgement free approach creates a safe environment providing a trusting working relationship, the cornerstone of a successful therapy experience.
I am a recovering alcoholic who has been sober since 2011. I believe that this gives me a unique perspective on being a therapist. I have also worked with individuals from varying backgrounds and cultures. Additionally, I have training in the arts, which I incorporate allowing others to express themselves in a variety of ways promoting healing and success.
