Hey! I'm Sam Marion, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a lifetime of experience as a multiply neurodivergent person. My neurodivergences include being autistic, ADHD (together, sometimes called AuDHD), PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance or Persistent Drive for Autonomy), gifted/twice-exceptional (2e), a reading disability, and a tic. I work with neurodivergent kids, teens, and adults, and their families, in person in Buford, GA, and by telehealth across Georgia.
So many of my first conversations are about a young person facing autistic burnout, school refusal, meltdowns, shutdowns, sensory overwhelm, or executive functioning struggles. Often the parents and the entire family are burned out too. People are looking for hope and steps to take, and I come alongside a family to do just that.
I never approach anyone as broken or in need of fixing. We work collaboratively to meet support needs. In addition to therapy, I offer parent coaching for families navigating autism, ADHD, and PDA. I show up every day offering authenticity, connection, and partnership on your journey toward hope.
