About
Accepting new clients as of January 2023… Vulnerability: while rewarding, can be daunting. It is not easy to let someone into your internal landscape and I deeply value the possibility of learning yours. My name is Sam and I work with clients to become intimately comfortable with the buried, hidden, and beautifully impactful aspects of themselves. Giving these aspects refuge and support to become known, leads to a deeper understanding of oneself and greater harmony within. I work with clients in regards to identity, purpose, hope, sustainable change, and connection to self, others, and environment.
My goal is to provide a safe place to explore themes such as gender and racial identity, chronic pain, trauma, depression, anxiety, and emotion regulation. I counsel couples in a range of relational dynamics including monogamous, polyamorous, and open relationships. Ecotherapy is offered for those looking to combine the benefits of nature with talk therapy.
In counseling, the greatest resource in existence is the innate knowledge that comes from within the person seeking treatment. This voice has often been silenced; and in a safe, liberating environment can begin to speak again. It is my honor to listen and foster a relationship that continuously encourages the ongoing process of self-discovery.

Sam Lemmer's Groups
Nature-Based Therapy Group
Many of us find solace and meaning in nature. It is a passion of mine to be able to offer therapy in the healing settings found outside. Research shows that time in nature positively impacts mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and more. With the Nature-Based Therapy Group, we spend time outdoors engaging our senses to connect more fully with ourselves, the Earth, and each other. Structured activities and processing discussion allow us to immerse into our surrounding landscapes and gain insights into our own internal landscape as well.
