I began counseling and mentoring in 1991 as a volunteer in a residential treatment center for teens. Since then, I have worked with lots of folks, through both struggle and triumph, to help them progress toward their fullest potential. My work as a group counselor in outpatient and residential treatment centers greatly influenced my current work as a psychotherapist in private practice. I use an evidence-based, integrative approach to understand your unique personal, subjective experience while supporting your journey toward mental and emotional health.
I enjoy helping people identify & find clarity about what's going on, where they want to go, and the obstacles that might keep them stuck. We work collaboratively to explore what you are experiencing now & gain insight into how thoughts & behavior patterns throughout your life shape your experience, feelings, & perceptions today; insight vital for healing.
Sometimes we don't know what is keeping us from reaching our goals or feeling better or even how to get there, but the answer is often within us and completely attainable through honest exploration, discovery, and diligent practice.
