Trying to find the right counselor or therapist during challenging times can be overwhelming. I assist individuals, couples, and families to understand what type of therapist will be most helpful for them. I then match them with a licensed counselor/therapist in my referral network that has expertise in their problem area and is a good fit for their personality and therapeutic needs. In addition to referrals, I provide ongoing counseling for individuals experiencing life transitions and emotional adjustments, as well as unresolved past or recent trauma.
I provide counseling to individuals experiencing life transitions who struggle with conceptualizing happiness. I help clients develop a vision of their ideal life, and assist them in moving toward their vision. As a Certified Daring Way(tm) Facilitator, I also use Dr. Brene' Brown's curriculums in work with clients.
Individuals struggling with unresolved traumas receive EMDR treatment as a part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Those receiving EMDR describe problems with social anxiety, relationships, trauma history, or low self esteem. Many understand the nature of the problem and what needs to change, but feel blocked from making changes by past issues.
