I am a psychotherapist, author, and trauma survivor whose lived experience deeply informs my clinical work.
As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), I have over twenty years of private practice experience and integrate both my clinical expertise and personal insight into my neuroscience-informed, attachment-attuned practice. I am trained in Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), EMDR, Attachment-Focused EMDR, the Adult Attachment Interview for Clinical Use, the Wheel of Awareness, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Unwinding Anxiety, and Mindfully Aware Practices (MAPs).
Additionally, I currently write and consult on trauma, recovery, and integration towards the goal of destigmatizing dissociation and attachment-related challenges. I'm the author of the upcoming memoir, "A Brilliant Adaptation: How Dissociative Identity Disorder and the Therapeutic Bond Saved Me.
I have studied extensively with Dr. Daniel J. Siegel and his Interpersonal Neurobiology approach to parenting and therapy. I have had the honor of studying mindfull awareness with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Jack Kornfield, and am trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. I am an EMDR trained provider.
