Sahra works with adults as they move through life’s complexities and changes in what she views as a collaborative process. Experiences of aging, distress, burnout, caregiving, creative blocks, end-of-life, exile, illness, identity, grief, trauma, relationships & spirituality are inseparable from everyday life, our embodied histories & the systems we navigate. Yet, when overwhelmed, we often feel that we must 'go it alone.' Inviting each person to orient toward the present moment within the unique continuum of their past & future while in session, she supports the creation of deeper connections with oneself, others & the world.
Sahra practices from an integrative social work perspective, drawing on contemplative, nature-based, experiential, relational & somatic frameworks. Her MSW research focused on arts-based community practice. Alongside her work as a psychotherapist, Sahra is an artist, vocalist, writer & educator; she has also been a student of meditation for over 20 years.
Sahra works with adult groups & individuals in NY state; she is as an LMSW under LCSW supervision in both private practice setting & CMH (see Qualifications section):
