Due to the stigma of mental illness in the Black community, Saheedah is passionate about normalizing conversations about mental health and educating populations who have been historically underserved. Saheedah uses a variety of modalities to address issues such as grief and loss, depression, anxiety, anger management, family and workplace conflict, and phase of life transitions.
Saheedah is also passionate about mental health concerns specific to women including postpartum depression, anxiety, depression, mood-related challenges, and relationship stress. Helping couples find healing and restore trust is at the heart of her therapy when working with couples who have experienced a loss of trust and a decline in overall communication.
Being compassionate to the challenges that her clients face is an important component of Saheedah’s therapeutic work. Her goal, when working with clients, is to provide supportive counseling that effectively addresses personal life challenges.
