Hello! My name is Michael Mehlman and am a person-centered therapist that loves working with children, teenagers, and young adults. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, suicidal thoughts, difficulty with relationships, trauma, and struggles with life transitions. I believe each client has their own inner strengths to address their problems, and am here to highlight those while we learn to heal whatever is causing us pain.
I work in a trauma informed manner, meeting people where they
are and ensuring not to rush the process. I approach sessions with calmness and focus on client strength, as I have found this promotes client growth the best. I work with individuals in a person-centered lens, utilizing different skills depending on the client. I love CBT, DBT, and play-therapy.
I look forward to working with you and will be there for you in all steps of the journey. No matter who you are and the experiences you've had, I am here to work with you in a non-judgmental and supportive manner.
